Starting a Revolution!

Dear Parents,

As a parent of 2 teenagers and another who will be a teenager this school year, I am grateful for any positive reinforcement of my values that I can find.  I am particularly thankful for other adults who encourage and help to shape my children’s character in a Christ-like way.  Because of that fact, I am excited about this coming year for our 7^th-12^th graders.  We have developed a Youth Ministry Team of adults who have a desire to positively influence and encourage your teen and support the spiritual growth and character development you are trying to shape at home.  Building on the relational ministry of Randy and Cheryl Smith, this group hopes to expand on the good things that have happened over the past few years.

Along with this letter I want to share some of the goals that the team has articulated for youth ministry here at Voice of Hope and also share a proposed schedule for this fall, so that you can plan and support the efforts of this ministry to middle and high school students in our church and community.

Our Desire (vision):

To help Middle and High School students become life-long followers of Jesus Christ who live by faith, are known by love and are a voice of hope to a lost and broken world.

I hope you will join me in praying for this ministry and encourage your student(s) and their friends to participate.  I believe they will be encouraged, challenged and blessed.   If you would like to get involved you can talk to anyone on the Team or you can contact me.  One simple way to help out is to help provide food for our meetings.  Please contact Bonnie Tarman or Debra Hennip if you would like to be included in a schedule for providing food.  Thanks!
